Ok guys and girls,
I can’t help but to share this amazing thing that is happening inside my body.
Last week we had our first sonogram and we met our bebê! our little "grain of rice". We witnessed the most amazing rhythm; at six weeks and at the size of a grain of rice our bebê already has a heart beat and a strong one (160 bpm).
For lack of a better word, incredible is the one that I can think of to describe the whole experience.
I am now at my seventh week and our bebê, technically it still considered an embryo, has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long! ...our little sweet blueberry ;o)
We can already spot eyelid folds partially covering the baby's eyes, which already have some color, hopefully blue like his/her father. A little nose tip is forming and tiny veins beneath parchment-thin skin. Did anyone say amazing?!?!
There are a lot of changes going on with my body right now including a full swing morning sickness, which I don't know why it is called morning sickness because it is more like an all-day-sickness!
But friends don't feel sorry for me because I would not change this experience for anything else in the world! Duke and I are as happy as we can be.
We will keep you posted as our bebê develops, we know you can't wait ;o)
Beijos!
